2023: A Pivotal Year for collectionHQ

Director of Customer Experience, Jamie Wright, reflects on the highlights for collectionHQ in 2023 and reveals some exciting news coming in 2024!

2023 has been a pivotal year for collectionHQ. In January, Alan Gibson left collectionHQ to take on a new opportunity. We are grateful to Alan for all the years he guided collectionHQ to become the leading library software that it is today. Now, with Steven Legowski, who has worked closely with our software since 2014, taking on the position of Senior Director, Technology and Product Development, and in my new role as Director, Customer Experience, we are excited to evolve collectionHQ and expand our award-winning library technology into new markets.

Over the past 12 months, we have welcomed 79 new customers on board with one of our products, added 7 new members to our team, and were awarded Platinum distinction in the 2023 Modern Library Awards for our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Analysis tool.

We have also announced exciting new partnerships with innovators in open source library management software, PTFS Europe, Equinox Open Library Initiative, and ByWater Solutions, to identify new ways to increase efficiencies in collection development and add value for library communities.

Looking ahead to 2024, we will introduce new features to enhance collectionHQ and how it supports your collection development, from selecting new material to measuring how that material performs. We also look forward to introducing more libraries to the basics of collectionHQ with our new cHQlite platform.

And last but not least, I am thrilled to announce that we will be extending our evidence-based software to academic libraries with the launch of cHQacademic in summer 2024.

I think it’s fair to say that there is a lot going on here at collectionHQ, and I am so excited to have you join us on this journey!

On behalf of all of us at collectionHQ, THANK YOU for your continued support, and we wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2024.

Jamie
