Keep reading for our chat with Nadeera about libraries, what she is reading, and some fun facts!
Hi Nadeera! Between providing training and travelling to meet with library customers, we know that you love to read! What have you been reading lately?
I am a huge fan of reading self-help books and recently I started to read – Love & Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. This is something I can highly recommend for all the couples out there. This book helps to see thing differently and teaches you simply how to – Love & Respect.
Thank you for the recommendation! You must love being surrounded by books when you visit libraries. What else do you enjoy about working with libraries?
It is great to work with very enthusiastic library team members who are always trying to improve their collection to provide the best for their readers. I love being a part of this process, knowing it changes people’s lives in a positive way.
Tell us about your happiest memory of the library.
I have so many good memories of libraries. However, the story time session my local library conducted, and my daughter joined almost 10 years ago, would be the happiest. I witnessed my daughter’s happiness and excitement, and the opportunity to engage with other kids was amazing!
We heard that you have a furry friend at home who loves walks! How is that going?
I do enjoy my walks and am trying to achieve 10,000 steps per day. My cute Labrador puppy is going to be an adult soon and is utterly enjoying his walks. So, I walk with him, enjoy nature and get some fresh air in my spare time.
Finally, for fun, what would you title your biography?
“Life is hard, but it’s an amazing journey”
So true! Thanks, Nadeera. It has been a pleasure interviewing you ?
